The deep purple color certainly looks the part, but the intense, lingering notes of fruit-flavored candy hang on for much too long. Mystery red wine infused with blackberry and blueberry flavors, it lands between Peach and Rose on the sweetness meter.
Stella Rosa Black – Part of the “Luxury Collection,” this is (again) a wine with some fizz to it, though it’s very light.
While the Peach is sippable, the Rose is a bit off-putting. Again, the sweetness fades with a bit of time, but the strawberry flavoring doesn’t, clinging for ages to the tongue. Stella Rosa Rose – Rose in name only, this moderately fizzy offering is heavy with strawberry flavors that come across as wildly artificial and a bit saccharine. While hardly “serious,” it’s not overwhelmingly off-putting and could work well as, say, the base of a punch. While initially heavy with notes of canned peaches, it’s less sweet than I originally imagined, and the peach character does fade moderately on the palate, leaving behind the essence of a fizzy, honeyed muscat. Stella Rosa Peach – This lightly fizzy 5% alcohol-er has the distinct character of a wine cooler, for better or worse. We recently received three Stella Rosa wines for review, and while they’re clad in paint and/or cardboard covers as part of a Halloween (er, Stellaween) promo, I am assured that the wines inside are every bit the same as you’ll get year-round. Many of its wines are very low in alcohol, too, with an abv as low as 5 percent. Stella Rosa’s bottlings range from traditional blends to various fruit-infused expressions. Now as for other folks like me, it’s gonna be a NO for me dog.You can’t drive more than 5 miles in California without encountering a Stella Rosa billboard (“It’s a Stellabration!”), and it’s safe to say that the brand has ample production to serve everyone who happens to drive past. So go pick up the Stella Pink you guys and don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe. Overall I’m almost certain that my ‘sweet peeps’ will love it in addition to the fact that it’s also perfect for my lite drinkers, as this wine is low in alcohol. However, in my opinion, the taste is a bit elementary for even THAT price! I feel it should/could be cheaper. Price: Pretty decent price, picking this bottle up from my local Kroger on sale for $10.99. Texture: It was bubbly, but not as bubbly as champagne or Moscato, it was more like a hint of carbonation.
Consequently, this wine is a meager 5% ABV. It also tasted like liquified carbonated cotton candy. I couldn’t pick up any complexities in this wine and was a lot like drinking soda. Taste: Ok well, I will say that the Stella Pink is tasty, but for me, I just couldn’t really enjoy the different flavors as much because of the sweetness. Then I thought maybe some of my ‘sweet peeps’ hadn’t tried the semi sweet Stella Pink! Here we go! I know a lot of you have tried it and love it but as many of you know I do not particularly care for sweet wine. Apparently the girls love sweet wine and apparently I don’t do enough reviews on sweet wine for the girls! So, this week I grabbed a bottle of the popular brand, Stella Rosa.
